RECAP: SEMANA ZANKA
Semana Santa in Zihuatanejo consists of two crowded weeks of surnburnt, beer-saturated tourists rolling in the sand and roaming the streets in search of a good time. But you gotta love it!
People flooded in from all over Mexico to enjoy Zihua’s gorgeous beaches and friendly atmosphere. Ryoko, a content-creation firm based in Mexico City eased us into the night with the premier of their short film on Krystal Hernandez, our local surfer here in Zihuatanejo.
Those that made it to LOOT that Saturday night were caught in the act, boogying-down to the beats of Bufi, Mexican house music producer, whose set surfs smoothly from the roots of Detroit techno to Scandinavian Nu-Disco; from 80’s post-punk/ dark wave turning 70’s Krautrock. And the crowd didn’t mind a bit.
